Leaving Kinidaros, you follow a dirt trail offering panoramic views of distant marble quarries. The path transforms into a cobblestoned route leading down to the river, showcasing breathtaking vistas where nearby mountains merge with the Archipelagos. Traverse a small ravine, revealing the picturesque landscape below.

Upon reaching the riverbanks, a transformative experience awaits. The 18th-century double-arch stone bridge, Mill of Hadji, stands sentinel over the surroundings. As you progress towards the riverbank, encounter a cooler atmosphere, shaded areas, and thriving vegetation surrounding abandoned watermills, lagoons, and waterfalls. Witness wildlife like crabs and water turtles alongside oleander bushes and plane trees.

Continue the journey past the serene Agios Georgios church in the fertile Langada area and a majestic four-arch water mill. Navigate through plane trees and reed beds until reaching the 18th-century tower of the Pradouna Elders. Enter the traditional farm settlement of Mesa Gitonia.

The final leg of the trail leads to Engares, a tranquil farming village embraced by a fertile plain. Explore one of Naxos's oldest remaining olive mills, the recently renovated Olive Press, dating back to at least the late 1800s. Conclude the adventure with a leisurely meal at one of Engares's finest traditional tavernas, followed by transportation back to your accommodations.
