An interesting circular route, visiting three Catholic mainland villages. Starting at Loutra village, you have the opportunity to visit the Ursulines Monastery, which used to host a girls' boarding school, renowned across Europe. It now functions as a museum that houses an interesting folklife exhibition and can be visited only during the summer months.
You ascend to Koumaros village, one of the most picturesque villages in the area, and then you reach Exomvourgo hill which is the 2nd largest mountain of Tinos. There you will visit the ruins of the Venetian castle and you will admire the view from the top of the mountain. Next, the route becomes downhill visiting Xynara village, which was the siege of the Catholic Archdiocese in the Venetian times.
Finally, you return to Loutra village where you can enjoy an outdoor lunch with catering local dishes (optional).
