We will confirm availability and send you your ticket by email within 1 day or less. Only once the booking has been confirmed, will we take the money from your card. If you feel uncomfortable with giving your card details in advance of confirmation you can also contact us via chat or email to organise your booking for you.

What happens if the weather is bad?

In case the weather is bad and for your safety your excursion is cancelled you will first be offered the chance to reschedule. If, for whatever reason you can't or don't want to reschedule - including, simply, your wishes, we will then immediately process a 100% refund of your booking. Without any extra fees or charges. No hassle no fuss.

Description

The trail starts from the village of Panagia and meanders uphill towards the mountain. During the hike, you will learn about nature, history and the myths and traditions of Iraklia. You will come across goats that graze freely in the mountains, and maybe even birds of prey.

Then you will reach the Cave of Agios Ioannis and the famous Cave of the Cyclops from Homer's Odyssey where there will be a short break before the main part of the tour. You will then put on your gear and enter the cave.

Following the advice of your tour guide regarding taking caution and respecting space restrictions you will explore the chambers of the cave. A fascinating maze of geological formations such as stalactites and stalagmites embellish the cave and will dazzle and impress.

The total length of the hike is 5.5 kilometers.

Good physical condition is required. Individuals with heart or respiratory problems cannot participate.
